After the bell has rung and school is out, students still require attention. Whether they need help with homework or to simply have an open space to play, kids benefit immensely from having a constructive outlet when they are not in school.
Our Youth Services program provides daily after school educational enrichment, psychosocial skills building, creative arts and recreational activities for youth between the ages of 5 to 17. With an emphasis on cultivating respect for self, others and surroundings, we help kids succeed in school while supporting parents and caregivers.
Teen Program
Throughout the year, Kingsley House provides daily academic enrichment, mentoring, drug and violence prevention, group counseling, recreation and socialization activities to teens from the surrounding community, which includes full access to the gymnasium and computer center each evening from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Approximately 50 to 75 teens participate in our program daily.
After-School Day Care
Kingsley House Youth Services program provides daily after-school tutoring, mentoring, arts and crafts, drug and violence prevention, and recreational activities to over 100 children between the ages of 5 to 12 at Ben Franklin Elementary School in Uptown New Orleans.
