Kingsley House kids support our nation's troops

Children in the Youth Services after school program recently sent cards to wish troops of the U.S. Army 165th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion a happy holiday season and thank them for their service to the country. The unit was sent to Camp Shelby in Mississippi earlier this month for training and will be deployed to Iraq in March. Youth participants will continue to send messages of encouragement to the troops after they arrive in Iraq.

Christmas Comes Early:
Shell delivers gifts to Kingsley House |

|
Employees of the Shell Offshore Corporation fulfilled the Christmas wishes of all Kingsley House Head Start, Early Head Start and Afterschool girls and boys with vast scores of wrapped gifts, games, bicycles and toys. Special thanks to Shell and their employees for their generosity, which brought smiles to the faces of all children. |

Delta Dog visits Kingsley House |

 |
Youth participants in the Afterschool Program were treated to a visit by Oley, a 3 year old Swiss Mountain Dog from the Delta Society service dog program. Oley and owner Joanna met with the youth to talk about the dog's special training as a therapy animal and how he specializes in working with kids. |
